MANILA EMBASSY K1 PROCESSING

I received my NOA2 1-18-06 and NVC sent to Manila Embassy on 1-31-06.

Manila Embassy still did not have record of petition received over 5 weeks later!

How long should this take? I am concerned as Manila takes 5-6 months from TIME THEY FIND PETITION to scheduled interview.

Does anyone have recent experience with NVC to Manila time gap?

ALSO, NVC introduced an error, did NOT spell beneficiaries FIRST name correctly. I contacted them immediately but they said: NOT THEIR PROBLEM, explain to embassy when they receive petition.

Anyone have comments or experience with something like this?

When our petition went through it was approved on March 9th and was in Manila on March 28th. I assume you received your letter from the NVC with the MNL case number on it. Manile should also receive the electronic version of the petition and I do believe you are correct, it is taking them up to 6 months to the interview once they receive the petition. Maybe they won't accept the electronic version for the tickler to start the process so are waiting for he paper copy. Have you talked to anyone at the NVC? I would think 5 weeks is way too long and someone should investigate what happened to the petition.
