We have a case number!! Im so happy!!

Congrats! Looks like it took about 2 weeks for NVC to receive and assign you a case number. Is that right?

Just about, yeah...11 days to be precise :) could have been 10 if not for the long weekend, they didn't work on Monday

Called NVC for the first time yesterday but they didn't have our case yet. :(

I did ok with the long wait at TSC because I expected it to take even longer than it did, but now that the end of this process is in sight, I'm just getting more and more impatient!

K1 Visa timeline: Application sent to Visa in hand: 10 months and 4 days (Texas Service Center)

02/26/2015: I-129F Application mailed to Texas lockbox

03/05/2015: NOA1 email notification

08/27/2015: NOA2! (176 days)

09/02/2015: Sent to NVC

09/14/2015: Called NVC and obtained MTL case number

09/18/2015: In Transit to MTL consulate

09/21/2015: Consulate received our file (24 days post-NOA2)

09/24/2015: Sent Packet 3 (unprompted, but CEAC status had updated a second time)

09/29/2015: Packet 4 received, interview scheduled. Still haven't received Packet 3, I advise not to wait for it!

10/09/2015: Received Packet 3 in the mail!

11/09/2015: Medical

12/16/2015: K1 Interview in Montreal (111 days from NOA2, 293 days total): Approved!

04/25/2016: Officially outside processing times for EAD/AP. Scheduled Infopass appointment for 05/10.

05/21/2016: Finally received email notice that EAD was approved on 05/19 after numerous service requests, infopass appt and ombudsman inquiry

05/23/2016: Received hard-copy letter notifying me that my AP was approved on the same day as my EAD. No hard-copy for EAD yet.

05/28/2016: Received EAD/AP Combo Card (122 days since filing).

06/21/2016: Received email notification of AOS interview (Appointment scheduled 07/21/2016)

07/21/2016: AOS interview. Approved, but file was missing medical. Local office can't issue GC until they receive medical from DOS.

07/25/2016: USCIS case status changed to New Card Is Being Produced!

08/01/2016: Green card in hand. ROC window opens Apr 29, 2018.

My case status still says approved on USCIS but on NOA2 it said it was sent to NVC, I dont know if that means it has been sent or not?

My case status still says approved on USCIS but on NOA2 it said it was sent to NVC, I dont know if that means it has been sent or not?

I would think that means it hasn't been sent yet, sadly. This is what my case status says on USCIS (see attached). If yours still says Case Approved in the title then I imagine it's still in TSC. :(

I feel like things have slowed down a bit this week. Hardly any new approvals. Could be that a lot of people took the week off after labor day weekend.

Yes mine still says 'Case was Approved'... I think the person who approved us took this week off and hasnt sent the files yet :(

Trying to keep riding on the positivity of being approved but seeing that it takes at least another 8 weeks has shocked me, didnt realise it was that long.

I am so happy !!! Just read they send our case to nvc. How much I need to wait till call them???? In my country medical examen for kids take 2 weeks till have the result. I want make appointment for medical but I know I can't do it if not have the case number from nvc.

I think they update late the status. My petition was sent yesterday on 10. And today I check many times my case status and was stiĺl approved. I say myself I will check for last time today and I had a surprise to see is sent.I hope u will have the same surprise

Our petition was sent to the embassy in Tokyo, it shows IN TRANSIT on the ceac site and I THINK I found it with the dhl tracking, there's just one petition shipped to Tokyo on Thursday, estimated to be delivered on Monday, sep 14...I hope its ours :)

I am a little bit confused about something...while the status was showing AT NVC, when i logged in the fee section of the site, there were my name and my kids' name listed there for the IV fee and it said NOT INVOICED next to each name. Now when i try to log in its not showing me the same page, just this message The National Visa Center has forwarded your file to the US Embassy/Consulate where you are applying for an immigrant visa. Any other required fees must now be paid directly at the Embassy or Consulate at the time of your interview.

Please contact the US Embassy/Consulate if you have any questions. You can find the contact information by consulting this list of US Embassy/Consulate websites.

Anyone know anything about this??

Congrats! I first called after 1 week but was told they didn't receive it, when I called the second time, 11 days after being notified it was sent to NVC I got our case number.

Im expecting packet 3 sometime around this week and I can finally go get my japanese police clearance, I can't request for it without the letter from the embassy specifying I need it and for what.

I have to say I am impressed with the embassy in Tokyo, dhl site shows it was delivered at 14.30 local time and at 5pm when i checked it was already in the system. Unexpectedly fast :)

We just got our case number from NVC! :) Our status from ceac.state.gov says "At NVC", but hopefully it will change to "In transit" very soon. I can't wait to schedule my medical & interview, but I've heard the Montreal consulate is kinda slow when it comes to receiving and logging cases. I'm expecting 10-14 days until I can send in packet 3.
