I did my Bio app 24th September (yesterday) and recived a case update this morning for a RFE:

"we mailed a request for initial evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status"

:( was hoping it would all go smooth with no RFE. /sigh

On the bright side, at least someone has looked at your application... None of my case numbers have been updated since day 1 - lol! :secret:

Your priority date seems like it would be close to mine, so I think you EAD shouldn't be too far from being approved. Sometimes the approvals don't go in order, they can be a bit crazy. If you haven't

Biometrics later on this week - woohoo! I only have to take myself and my biometrics letter, correct? I'll probably take my passport too, just to be on the safe side. Hope everyone is making steady progress :)

Hey y'all got my interview notice in mail. Interview is scheduled for Oct 29 at 2:15 PM at the Mount Laurel, NJ office. We have started to prepare gathering our originals:

An advice to all, if you have to order additional copies of Birth Certificate or Marriage Certificates, do so today as it took us 4 weeks to ship our Marriage Certificate!

For NYC you can order online through VitalCheck and they can expedite the shipping/processing for a slightly additional fee.

Just thought I'd share.. :)

My husband a UC filed for me in Jamaica. Should he have submitted his Jamaican Birth Certificate with the package. He just submitted his US passport.

I thought that i was the only one that needed to submit my birth certificate.

Yes bring your ID/passport and a copy of your marriage certificate if your name on your passport and biometric appointment letter is different.

I requested to expedite my EAD on the 10/5/2015 based on hardship..I received this email from USCIS this evening:

Please fax documentation to establish that you or your company will suffer a severe financial loss and document a pending job offer or letter from your employer, on official company letterhead, to the following number: 816-251-2290, Attn: LA0596, DIV5 ISO3. All foreign language documents must be accompanied by a full English translation. Please include this notice with your fax.

Pls what and what should I fax to them.

Did my biometrics on 9/29, but case has still not updated online. Bit odd? Most people's seem to update to 'scheduling for interview' within 7 days of their biometrics. :(

From what I have seen on here, there is a huge variation in timing. While some people from August filers are getting scheduled for interviews already, there are some from July and before that still have not been scheduled.

As a side note, I have not been able to check my case status since yesterday. I keep getting an error message. Looks like the case status system maybe down.

I was told that after your packet is deemed complete, it's up to the timing of your local office for an interview. That's why some people will get them quicker, and others will take longer. All our interviews are in different places, so timing for interviews will not be the same.
