We are scheduled for February 2nd! I'm nervous that I don't have my birth certificate since I came in on an international passport with student visa so we scheduled an info pass for the 12th of this month to see if I need to get that mailed to me or we can proceed just using a certified translated copy.

Hi All

Congrats to all the August Filers who already have the GC in hand and good luck to those waiting (like me!!). My local CIS is Washington DC with priority date of 08/30/2015. Anybody dealing with the same office??

As of 10/31/2015, the office was processing applications dated 01/28/2015 (as per USCIS). For those who were following the processing times, based on your experience, any idea how long it make take them to get to my application dated 08/30/2015. I am planning to travel for 3 weeks this month and I have been told that the online case status site is not always updated on time.

As far as I know, for most people who had their interview last month or scheduled for this month, the local office was processing May/June applications on 10/31/2015.

Thanks

Happy Friday

@sunnydreamer Sounds like it is going to be some wait.

I received my paper copy yesterday. As far as I know, my local field office is New Orleans. However, my interview is scheduled at the Fort Smith, Arkansas field office, which is approximately the same distance.

Sorry, my last reply got jumbled up. Not sure why.

I checked Fort Smith's processing times and they were processing May 10th applications on Oct 31st. So, I guess you are right,it'll take a while for me.

Did your online case status change before you received the paper copy?

Did your online case status change before you received the paper copy?

Yes. I got the electronic notice on Wednesday (text arrived about 2 hours before email) and paper notice on Friday.

The last update my online case status showed was that my RFE was received. It then went straight to interview is scheduled, about 49 days later.

Hang in there. It will come any day when you least expect it.
