congrats!!

i thought the fee is 275$?

I downloaded and printed the I-751 and instructions, and the fee listed was $205 for the Removal and $70 for biometrics. I sent $275 and they bounced it back with a note that the fee was $205. So then I returned it with a check for $205 and they took it. I guess I got in right when they were changing the fee and I got lucky. Another week and I would probably have had to pay the $275.

what evidence did you send with that application?

We sent pretty much the basic stuff. Passports, copy of green card, copy of my wife's previous passport w/K-1 visa in it, copy of I-797 approval notice, two notorized affidavits from USC friends, copies of state and federal income tax returns from 2004 & 2005, copies of joint account bank statements, copies of "some utility statements" in both our names, copies of both credit & debit cards, copies of airline tix & boarding passes from trips taken together and photos from two trips.

We moved a lot and had some mail addresses as well as residence addresses. We listed all the residence addresses because they ask for all addresses at which you have lived. We sent copies of rental receipts from all the places we lived, including our apartment in Thailand. We rented a room from a friend who moved and we got receipts from her for both addresses. For over six months we lived at a place where utilities are included so we did not have many of those kinds of receipts.

I hope this helps.

Hello Bob & Mon,

Can I please ask if You filed the i751 at Nebraska service center.I would appretiate your reply.I have filed wth NSC.

Thanks-Kishore

Did you apply to Nebraska Service Center?? I have been waiting since the beginning of November.

If you applied to NSC then I still have some hope... but my case hasn't even touched yet.

No we filed at the California Service Center. I went thru the Nebraska Center for the K-1 and I know your frustration. It was the slowest in the country when I did it. I was constantly kicking myself for not using Vermont. But keep smiling as it looks as though Nebraska is sending some of it's stuff to California. Maybe that will free them up to work on your file faster. We'll light a candle and drink a glass of wine for you. Please keep us posted on how you case is going.

About 5 minutes ago I emailed my Senator's (Chuck Hagel) local representative complaining about the unacceptable processing times on Removal of Conditions at Nebraska. We'll see what he says! Hagel's people are tops in quick response to constituent's questions and in giving help when it is needed. They got our I-130 out of limbo at Nebraska in 2003--they had LOST it in their blizzard of paperwork. I call that incompetence!
