El Salvador Embassy Experiences? Anyone?

Hi everyone,

I have read lots of horror stories about the San Salvador embassy. On the 25th my fiancee has his appointment and we are a bit nervous. Our case should be okay, we live together and have for 2.5 years in El Salvador, I am a US Citizen and was over here for work. So we have tons of evidence, we have a corporation / business together and tons of stuff like that. But I am still super paranoid.

Up until now the embassy has actual been awesome. I emailed them multiple times to update an address and they helped fast, they also sent me packet 3 and 4 via email. I was able to schedule an interview very fast, my packet 4 was sent to me by email on July 14th and I was able to schedule an interview as soon as July 21st, but due to medical time frame I did not do that. The doctor at medical was really inefficient and made a big mess, had my fiancee waiting for hours because of a lost paper, etc.

I also emailed the embassy today and asked if I could go with my fiancee to the interview and they said I could enter the embassy and stay in the waiting area but I can't participate in the actual interview.

Does anybody else have any San Salvador stories? Any tips? Thanks!
