Congrats!

I been to Delhi once, when I had baby through surrogate. I made sure I got him US visa rather than waiting for Canadian embassy to make him passport.

Consulate in Delhi had huge three lines. One outside embassy, then one inside embassy walls, then another inside embassy building. But since I brought baby with me, my Indian maid was was smart and talked to security guard to let me skip the line. Then I was able to skip lines inside as well, because of nice Indian staff.

Back from medical today .. Nothing to worry guys ...its smooth process

BTW ur appointment time has nothing to do anything in medical at Delhi. It's first come first serve .. I was in max panchsheel at 9:30 .. They asked for passport copy, 4 photo and interview letter. They asked tlme to pay fee and gave me a band and said to change and go for blood sample collection and x Ray

Post that I had to wait for 2 hrs for doctor to come. Many people were there .. Mostly UK and cananda .. US only 10/people

Doc came and then did physical checks and then asked med history .. He asked me few questions

1. Any surgery

2. Any medical problem

3. Any vaccination history

4. Do I smoke

5. Do I take any drugs

6. Any medicine that I use .. I said I frequent benadryl for allergy and cough. He said okay

Gave me a slip for vaccine's and I took them

And submitted it back to immigration department at max in basement .. And I was done

Advise

1. Wear track pant and tee shirt .. Easy to toss in locker as they make u change

2. Take ur book or magazine or music to kill time. I took my book I was reading so it was easy to pass time

Fun incident : as people were waiting for doctor to come.. There was this funky looking wann a be hero guy .. He had Sony headphone and tab. He was going up and down and here and there .. At one point he came back and sat down with me

I was reading my book. He looked his nose and asked me where was I applying for. I said America .. He said he was applying for UK spice visa. I was like what is spice visa.. He clarified u get spice visa once u marry a national from that country

I said " ahhh.. Okay" in my head I was like " dumb ### its spouse not spice " I was back to reading and he again said " he was in London recently in student visa and now he is applying spice visa"

That's when I couldn't stop laughing .. I almost fell down from chair .. He was like why are u laughing .. I then said in typical Delhi wali language " bhutni k sale kitna fek ta hai.. London meh pad raha thaa aur spice aur spouse ka difference malum nahi tujhe"

Everyone who were listening the conversation started giggling .. Saale spice visa wale ki sakal dekne layak ka thaa.

Ninja :

Did they give you the sealed medical package (with your results) inside it, with a 'do not open' warning - on the same day, or did they ask you to come back later to collect it ?
