Im sure there is already a topic regarding this but I cant seem to find it....

Anyways, I live in Oklahoma and I mailed my K-1 package to Texas Service Center. I got my case # off the back of the check, and registered on ucis.gov. The message says that my package is now at the California Service Center. So why did I mail it to TSC?

9/14/06 - Met Michal at Oklahoma State Fair

12/19/06 - Flew to S. Africa for 2 weeks

12/26/06 - Michal proposed..I said YES!

2/10/07 - Sent K-1 package overnight (TSC)

2/13/07 - Delivered and signed for by M. Salcedo

2/21/07 - NOA1

2/22/07 - Check cashed

2/24/07 - Touched

2/26/07 - Received NOA1 via snail mail from CSC (Fiance's name misspelled!)

4/3/07 - Touched

4/8/07 - Received letter from USCIS confirming fiance's name was corrected

5/8/07 - Touched

5/9/07 - Touched again!

Because you're supposed to send it to TSC. They will transfer it. If you had sent it to CSC yourself, they probably would have sent it back to you.

Because they can change there internal procedure at anytime....
