Hi everyone,

My fiance received our NOA1 a few weeks ago and my date of birth was wrong on it. He rang them to rectify the issue and thought they said to call back if he hadn't heard anything within three days but it was actually thirty!! Do you think this will slow down the process for us a lot?

We had the exact same problem! We mailed them the error with a copy of the birth certificate a week after realising.. didn't work, then called them 3 times in about 4 months and it still didn't change. Finally I decided to just do a online request and it got changed a week later! Don't know why i didn't do that first! Didn't slow down the process at all :)

I just mailed a copy of our NOA1 plus a letter to request fixing the date of birth to the lockbox. Never got a reply from USCIS, but they made the correction (found out when I called NVC to get the receipt #, and also when the embassy sent us a copy of the documents USCIS had sent them).
