Sorry to basically be asking the same question again, but I just want to clarify something I asked about a week ago.

I'm preparing to send in the I-129F packet and I have a couple questions about the proof of ongoing relationship. My fiancee and I are livning together in Japan, but only her name is on the lease. However, we each have official ID's (mine an alien registration card, hers a drivers licsence) with our address on it. I was going to include copies of these along with bills from the city tax office addressed to us. If I include this plus my passport stamps and working visa for Japan, our passport stamps for a visit to the US, passport stamps for our vacation last summer and photos of us together, is this enough? It sounds like good evidence to me but I just wanted advice ffrom people who have already been down this road.

Also, will I need to get the ID's and bills translated?

I really appreciate the help and hopefully in 6-8 months I'll be able to answer lots of questions for other newbies.

What you have so far is good enough to prove your genuine relationship. You must remember too that all the documents in different language need to be translated if you want to include them in your packet. Good luck in assembling your paperwork... :thumbs:

I had my national ID from Brazil translated and included it.

There is no address on it but it showed that I was living there.

11/2004 - Met in Brazil

09/2006 - Apply for K1

03/2007 - K1 approved

04/2007 - Apply for AOS & EAD

07/2007 - EAD approved

01/2008 - Conditional Residency approved

11/2009 - Apply to remove conditions

02/2010 - Permanent Residency approved

11/2010 - Apply for Citizenship

03/2011 - Citizenship approved

07/2011 - Moved back to Brazil

It's souds like you have it covered. I live in my fiances country and I sent similar things plus my bank statement and a letter from my agency saying that i'm currently volunteering here and will be until such and such a date. This is an english speaking country so I didn't have to worry about translations, but I agree with the other posts, everything needs to be translated, or else the adjudicator won't know what it is.

I thought the Gaikokujin Tourokusho was written in both English and Japanese..... but anyways. The bills, yep, you would have to have them translated. As for the other proofs....I think you're all set :) Good luck.

I copied the first page (with my name and photo) and then only the pages with stamps to Brazil.

I highlighted the date and the name "Brasil" to attract attention to that. I sent copies of my visas to Brazil as well - but only the visas that were relevant - from 2004 on - not the ones that I had before I met my fiance.

11/2004 - Met in Brazil

09/2006 - Apply for K1

03/2007 - K1 approved

04/2007 - Apply for AOS & EAD

07/2007 - EAD approved

01/2008 - Conditional Residency approved

11/2009 - Apply to remove conditions

02/2010 - Permanent Residency approved

11/2010 - Apply for Citizenship

03/2011 - Citizenship approved

07/2011 - Moved back to Brazil

I've read posts about copying passport before. It's safer to copy all the pages, even the blank ones. It's for authenticity assurance
