What about car parking?

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/359761-montreal-consulate-picturesmaps/?&p=5252525

This is Saylin's post and it did wonders for us. Thanks to her it was a smooth ride. It will help you too!!

Right where "Door" is there is an entrance to a paying parking. They use credit card but that's what we did and it worked wonder. Right in front of consulate, lovely!

Also, don't be shy to tell people there is a line. Once people showed up they would just stand at the door even if there was a long line. So politely redirect them towards the end of the line.

Thank you. I am booking now.

By the way I was hoping to get 2 queen beds, since I will be traveling with my parents and son. But the options Priceline is giving me are these

Double Room with Two Double Beds

Queen Room - Non-Smoking

2 Double Beds - Accessible Nonsmoking Room - Free Wifi

Do you think the double beds are really one person double bed, or a queen bed?

You may want to try this place as well. The rooms are HUGE and the hotel is very very close to the consulate. I could see it from my hotel room window and if you go thru the parking lot, there is a lane way that you go thru that puts you directly in front of the consulate.

Thanks.

I already booked my room at Days Inn, since I always had great experience with Days Inn. They mostly always have free breakfast. (Not too sure with this location). I paid $97 in total including taxes. Squarephilips cost almost $200.

We received our K1 Tuesday. We arrived at 7:15 ish and there were several people ahead of us. I don't think it matters how early you are, because not everyone will be there for a K1. They are super helpful and will tell you exactly where to go and what to do.

They asked us questions about our wedding which was a little tricky since we haven't planned one. The other tricky question was how much money do we plan to spend in a wedding. The interviewer questioned the amount based on the number of guests. It was ok though we got a visa! We were also done by 8:30-8:45 ish.

Good Luck!
