Police Check Question

Hi,

I am getting my police check from the UK shortly.

I did work and live in america for just over a year during 2012/2013 with my employer under a work visa. Do I need a police check for that too? If so, can someone point me in the direction to get it?

No, you don't need it from the USA. They will do it by themselves anyway without you really knowing. I lived in the USA long time ago, I didn't need PC from the USA. I am approved and have visa in my hands.

I just want to add one remark. The consul during my interview (just recently) asked me in such words: 'I see you have spent quite a time in the USA, but I don't see your Police clearance from the USA'. I told him politely that I already made an inquiry before we filed the petition and I got an answer that no USA PC is required. He answered 'oh, that's right' . So, it was funny.
