How long u been waiting for?

since I asked for case transfer? 5 months

since my case has been "ready" at algeria? 3 months

My case was in Cairo? something with physical file I'm guessing? idk but my husband was able to talk to someone in algeria and get an appointment for next month its not an interview but it will get his foot in the door to hopefully do something or give us an interview because they stopped responding to my emails.

I will ask and let you know as soon as I can. Where in Algeria is your husband? Is he in the capital or no?

Does anyone know if the embassy is done scheduling interviews for November? I called NVC and they are no help and contacted the embassy and they are not responding to me emails and actually said that mailbox is full

hello

how long does it take for the DS 260 to be complete

It should not take you more than two hours to complete it online. After you submit it, it took about a month for NVC to process it for me at least.

redvany,

any updates on your wife's case?

No news at all...my case became ready on 10/22 and have not heard anything yet. If you have been waiting for months, not sure how long will take me.

how about you?

well, we're pretty much on the same boat. my case became ready 10/27 and updated 10/28, but since then nothing changed. Did you try calling NVC to see if it's the physical file? How long did it take from the time you were told it will be transferred until it became ready?

It took four days which is exactly what the US consulate in Egypt told my senator that will take. They didn't say anything about the physical file. Perhaps I don't have a physical file. When NVC sent my file to Cairo before all this madness it was an electronic file per the person that communicated to me from the US console in Cairo. However, I think I should contact NVC regardless and find out. thank you for bringing that up:)

Did your husband's file came from Sana or NVC to Egypt before your transferred it to Algeria?
