I made transfer request from Cairo to Algeria over a month ago. My case until today still shows as ready state but I cannot confirm if my files went to the embassy or not.

After the case number there are three letter that you see when you check your case status. If it says CRO then it's still in Egypt but if it says ALG then it's in Algeria

When NVC accepted to transfer my case (July 23rd) did not give me a new case number. I assumed in My mind that they would not change the case number since the files are being sent from one embassy to another. I need to find out for sure. I contacted both embassies and no one responded to me regarding my status.

however, I did notice that the last update shows is Aug 4th which is almost two weeks after they accepted my transfer as shown here:

They change some peoples case numbers. They never changed my wife's case number. It's been SAA even when in egypt and now in Algeria but the last 3 letters after the case number always changed when arriving at different embassies

It's weird my case didn't say transfer in progress it automatically updated Dji on August 11 but there saying physical hasn't arrived any one experienced like this.

Me too, i experienced the same thing on the exact date also. Aug 11 my statues was ready with dji at the end of the case number since then no updates and whenever i email Djibouti they reply saying that they have not received the physical file which is really hard to believe. The funny thing is that some people got the case transfer after and they already have an interview. Really frustrating wallah. I have no idea how the Embassy is prioritizing these cases. الله يفرجها على الجميع

My husband is in djbouti and has been there for over 3 months And now his case status has alg at the end

You need to have your husband go to the embassy in Djibouti and talk to someone because his electronic file has been transferred to algiers.

Well his case is in Algeria. He is not the first one who this ha happened to and it's sad that they make mistakes like this. Sometimes this happens when Egypt accidental sends the physical file to Algeria. Egypt are the ones making most of the mistakes that I hear of
