Who is processing I-130's?

Im getting ready to send off my petitions for my step daughters and Im in NM. So I look at the processing dates for texas and it doesn't show I-130's... California is the only one that shows any dates for I-130's...

If california is the only one doing I-130's do it still have to send mine to texas and wait for them to transfer or can i send it straight to california?

You need to send it to the service center listed within the instructions of the form I-130. It's at their discretion, not you, if they need to send it to other service center if they're backlogged with a large volume of applications.

Could that be the reason ours has been sent to the California office..?

We sent ours to Nebraska but while apprehensively awaiting the NOA1 which still hasn't come we've noticed the cheque has been cashed in California.

Any ideas please?

Ok this is the deal with I-130's....... You send it to your own Service Center, if it is Nebraska or Texas, then they send it onto California which now deal with our I-130's, our check and folder were also sent to California, on the back of the cleared check you should have the letter WAC followed by a set of numbers, you place this into the system on the USCIS site and then you should get updates, not very often i'm afraid but it is the best they can do.

Tip.... When my husband rang USCIS he did manage to get through to the California Service Center but it was a lot of button pushing and all that jazz.

If you haven't received your NOA1 by now, you will never get it. Like arwensun1965 said, you can get the receipt # from the back of your cancelled check. If you still want a copy of the NOA1, then you can call customer service to request one.

I called last week and I still haven't received it.
