Does it allow you to change the green card delivery address? As my wife decided to FaceTime me last night to surprise me that she upgraded us to a bigger apartment in the same block haha. She's been moving all week and never mentioned it!

Does it allow you to change the green card delivery address? As my wife decided to FaceTime me last night to surprise me that she upgraded us to a bigger apartment in the same block haha. She's been moving all week and never mentioned it!

Lol, my missus moved about three weeks ago so I've had the same questions.

I did tell them at the embassy but they seemed fairly nonplussed about it and I'm not sure if they actually updated it - chap looked at my bit of paper with the new address, tapped his keyboard about 3 times and gave me back my bit of paper.

The general consensus of opinion on the web seems to be 'let the immigration officer at POE know' - which makes sense as they'll have your immigration paperwork and forward it to USCIS for the green card processing stage. I'll be checking the AIS site when I pay the green card fee but at the moment I can't access it properly because I don't yet have an Alien number.

As for earlier plane issues, there aren't a lot of options for flying into Tampa from the UK - pretty much only BA unless you fancy doing a Euro trip en route.

They charge a flat fee of £1065 for a single all year long (due to increase this coming April). I managed to bring the costs down considerably using my accrued airmiles otherwise I was looking at £610 return.

@Devonian, haha nice surprise for you, at least she moved already lol!

I have a list of chores waiting for me, its been getting longer as I never manage to complete it each time i've been over

I hear 'don't forget to caulk the bath' everyday

I'm assuming mine hasn't moved!?

I did at least get to see the new place back in August and knew it was coming. If modom had organised the move a fortnight earlier she'd have had 230lbs of experienced house moving muscle at her disposal but shucks ;)

Haha, luckily our new place is pretty much identical to the place we already had, but doubled in size.

...just not sure if it's more to acommodate me or the puppy she's got arriving on Monday

I was thinking of doing that, but wasn't sure when I'd be coming back.

I booked a 1 way with Norwegian in the end. Wasn't too bad actually since I wasn't fussy about which day.

£359 from gatwick to LA with 2x 20kg

Do you get instructions with the paperwork you get back with the passport as they never mentioned it at the interview?

If you haven't booked flights yet, check with your US spouse and see if they have AAA. I booked my round trip and one way through them and they were by far the cheapest!

I picked up my passport with it's nice shiny visa stuck inside it's pages today and can now answer your question! :)

The clerk did manage to update my address at interview as my 'do not open' package had my details (including the new address) attached. In amongst the paperwork was the advice to update change of address, for purposes of receiving Green Card, either at interview OR at point of entry when dealing with the immigration officer.
