How many of you actually had a HARD time leaving your parents behind to be with your love one?

I've been sick these days, and my mom has been taking a very good care of me. She would check on me every few hours, even late at night.. to see if I was still having a fever... put cold towel on my forehead... changing it every once in a while.. gave me hugs when I felt cold....

I looked into her eyes when i told her I was planning on leaving in March 15, and she went like.... "...March...?" as in.... it's so soon..... then I just felt like crying.

I mean... I thought I've had everything set and I had my heart stoned about leaving and be with my man. But when I saw her last night,..... I felt like my heart was crushed.

Quoting my wife, no. She had no anxiety about leaving her parents, but she is now 32. Of course she misses them, but talks regularly with them on the phone.

You are young, yet you have lived outside Indonesia for a while. Suggest you get some phone cards and keep in close touch with your parents. Your future husband will offset the things you are talking about.

Pras had much difficulty.

After she got her K-1 (in December 2005), I really wanted her to come to US (I'd actually considered JFK entry and flight to DCA) ASAP. But (on advise from Bro. Joe, our spiritual father), we attempted (quite unsuccessfully--couldn't get an appointment in time, ANY language) to get her mum a visitor visa for Easter time, and decided she should enter closer to Easter at Detroit.

She got a (Telugu language) visa appointment in December 2006, but Pras' brother (35-year-old, non-Christian) gave his mum the info at near-last-minute (and we couldn't prepare and send I-134 in time)--so this fell through.

It's just that...I've heard from my mom's best friend that she used to cry to her when I was in Japan cuz she missed me.... *sighs*

I found it very difficult when my mom was going through chemotherapy two years ago, and I am finding very difficult now as we found out that she will have to probably go through it again. Being away from my parents in times like these sucks.

I was thinking the same thing....like... whenever I'm sick my mom is always there...but how can I take care of her when she's sick if i'm like thousands of miles away? I mean....my parents are getting old...

Eh... If only I was not born as a softie hehehe.... :/

But, I've made it this far, I have to brave it all... i think my parents would understand...
