email from NVC

Hi fellow vj members,

i just open my e mail today and im so surprised that I got letter from the NVC which says:

Dear Sir or Madam,

All documentation necessary to complete the National Visa Center's

processing has been received. As soon as an interview date has been

scheduled, the designated representative of this case (petitioner) will

be notified. The US Embassy may require additional documentation at the

time of the interview.

Regards,

National Visa Center

its only been less than 2 weeks (10 days to be specific) since the day they received my ds-230...My question is..does it mean my case is complete @ the NVC and anytime they gonna forward it to the US embassy in manila? this might be a stupid question and i may be skeptical but i dont want to put my hopes high. im expecting a message like Your case has been forwarded to the US embassy of your country or the likes.....or maybe something like Your documents have been reviewed and appoved.i called the NVC but the automated system is not updated yet.i will only be able to talk to an operator on monday..im confused.

does anyone of you got this kind of message?hope you guys can help me with this.

That's exactly the email I got today, and my case was complete this week I would say 10 days is possible - super fast but possible It's not that much of a stretch from 14 days including weekends like it took for mine.

10 days including the weekends...GOd is so great !

how many weeks it usually take before they can schedule the interview?? 8 weeks?

huh: its saturday morning here in the philippines.....so i figure its friday night now in the US...arent they open only till friday(daytime)?

They are open until Friday night at 12:30 (actually Mon-Fri until 12:30), so another 1.5 hours. Now is actually a good time to call, they usually aren't so busy

Back in late 2004, my case was completed and I had the interview date in about a couple of weeks later. This time around, it's taking 2-3 months just to get an interview date. (possibly back logged) When you do find out about the interview date, that's the time your case is sent to the US embassy.

Hi,

It means you have been "documentarily qualified" and will be put in the queue at the embassy for an interview. Call the NVC and talk to an operator to verify. You should be recieving a letter in the mail to same affect. It is taking approximately 8 to 10 weeks after thecase is concidered complete to get an interview scheduled...then approx. 5 to 6 weeks for actual interview. I mailed my ds-230 on oct. 2 and case complete was oct 17...so yes it doesnt take long.
