Best pizza you ever had

The very best pizza is in Napoli (Naples), Italy.

The pizza's are always hand made and brick oven baked for 5 or 6 minutes. Thin and crisp, yet somewhat chewy crust and awesome topping choices, adequately distributed accross the surface. The best one: Pignoli nuts, goat cheese, Buffalo mozzerela, olive oil and basil...

In other parts of Italy, the crust is always too crisp, like a cracker.

I would pay big $$$ for a Napoli pizza here in the states.

It was in Cefalu, Sicily... a diavolo, with fantastically spicy salami and drizzled with chili oil. Eaten in blazing afternoon sun, and washed down with lots of Moretti beer... yummmmmm.

I've had lots of amazing pizzas in Italy, but I think that one stands out as the best... I can still remember how great it was five years later. Although I have a couple of close runners-up in my mind, too... one I had somewhere I totally forget the name of now, overlooking the Bay of Naples (amazing view to go with the amazing pizza) and another one (a quattro stagione, it was) in Anacapri (on the island of Capri).

Damn, I want to go to Italy again... not been there in years. :(

Since my all time favorite place called Olympic Pizza (run by Greeks, lol) was shut down and replaced by one of those long term storage facilities (what a waste of space), I have been ordering from Brother's Pizza down the street from where I live in Dallas . . . I like to add jalapenos to a pepperoni pizza, YUM!!!! . . . much better than Domino's, Pizza Hut/Inn, or those other chain places. Oh, Campisi's is quite good too but I haven't been down there in a few years . . . it isn't that far to drive to eat there, but it is too far for them to deliver, darn!!! After that, well, I guess I have to go visit my friend in Chicago because there is always some place we go there that has great pizza. and, NO, it isn't UNO's, hehe!!

Chicago Deep Dish, Lou Malnati's. Actually, there's not many deep dish places in Chicago that I don't like. There was also a place in New York that I had... I forgot the name, though.

It was about 30 minutes ago and the slice was as big as my head.

I was on a mozzarella induced high last night because even though it was great pizza, it cannot compare to NY pizza.

It's the best around here tho, so ya gotta make due!

The best pizza I ever had came from a place called Chicago pizza in San Jose Ca. I live about 3 hours from there and don't get a chance to go very often... Whenever any of my friends go there, I always have them bring one back for me.

I'll have to look them up next time I'm in SJ. I could really go for a good pizza. I'm only 1 hour from San Jose. Got several relatives there.
