When paying K-1 and K-2 visa fees, is Visa case number needed or more?

Priority Date; this is the date the NOA 1 was received/created. You will not find the priority date entered on the NOA2, you will only find it on the email/letter from NVC when you get your MNL # or the NOA1. See the example on my webguide. You will see it highlighted with a red box - same as notice date.

Mother signs for the baby using her personal signature and after her signature she will add "(mother)".

The question that is not asked is stupid. Keep coming back and asking your questions. We want you to get this right and completed without any hiccups.

Thanks for your reply. The date on the NOA1 is October 16, 2014. Our application was one of those caught in the mess up at California Service Center so it's taken almost a year! The final approval was in February, but there have been delays due to her birth certificate needing to be correct--the midwife put no gender on the original which was submitted to NSO. I did not notice that until after the K-1 was submitted to USCIS. It did not seem to matter to them. However when applying for a Philippine passport the correct gender was required. It was a very slow process because she did not take the NVC notice to NSO to speed things up...

Consequently, we are very late in our followup with USEM.

The DS-160 asks for the visa category that applies--I thought it was "all other non-immigrant visas", but the class choices do not include K-1. There's F-1 F-2 M-1 M-2.

She's not applying for work or tourist, the other choices on visa category???

What is it supposed to be?

Thanks!

Jim

That part is confusing as a K-1 is a non-immigrant visa but for some activities, currently the one you are completing, the choice is immigrant visa. You'll come across this when you register to schedule your interview appt. and those instructions w/pictures is on my website.
