Oh gosh, I am going to have to agree with other posters to get yourself to a competant immigration attorney SOON.

If you go back to Canada, I believe you are subject to a bar since regardless if you were given a paper (I-94?) stating ok for a year, AFAIK, you cannot be here as a Canadian citizen for more than 6 months a year. I am sorry you were mislead, but this is not the first time I have heard something like this. I am sorry this is a bit too complicated to give comprehensive response.

I'm not entirely sure what in here pertains to me. You linked me to the last page of what appears to be a huge argument... is there a specific post you're trying to point out? Clarification would help a lot here. :(

ETA: Nevermind! I posted before I saw your second post. I have not overstayed anything. My I-94 says I can stay until May 7th, 2007. :)

I may be wrong, but just because your I-94 says you can stay until May 2007 does not mean its legal to do so. I stated previously, as I understand it, Canadians can only stay for 6 months a year total, and should you decide to go back and file from there, I believe that may be what Rebecca was stating as far as the bar being applied.
