Hi Everyone.

 

My F2A case Priority date is Apr 15 2015(BMB - Mumbai).

 

We submitted DS-260 online and shipped documents to NVC only on Feb 7 2017 instead of few month back when NVC initially reached out for the same(Due to gross negligence by my lawyer):wacko::wacko::wacko::wacko:.

 

Please share if NVC always takes 30 days to review documents and schedule interview or it can happen sooner considering the case is current.

 

Also, Any best guess for approx time for NVC processing + Interview schedule(Mumbai)?

 

I am a petitioner and plan to travel to India during the interview period , your responses will help me plan better.

generally, nvc takes 30 to 45 days to review a case. I personally have not seen it take less than 30 days. After your case has been reviewed and you have received case complete from NVC, you will have to wait until the next visa bulletin before you are issued an interview date.

therefore, based on the date you gave you should receive case complete sometime in early March and get your IL in late March

Hi all, I am beneficiary of F2A petition. My priority date is Oct 07, 2015. I am currently in US in F1-student visa. I am planning to do Adjustment of Status(AOS). I just looked into the USCIS webpage (https://www.uscis.gov/visabulletin-feb-17) and saw that the dates for filing  is 22Nov15. Does this mean I can file papers for AOS? And if yes, it is I-485  (https://www.uscis.gov/i-485) that I have to fill right?

 Yes, you can start filling I-485, I-864, I-765(EAD), I-131(AP) together. I filed back in October. My priority date is August 2015.

I-130

08/20/2015: I-130 package sent  (Priority Date)

12/30/2015: 1-130 Approved

 

06/01/2016: Welcome Letter

 

I-485/I-765/I-131

10/28/2016: AOS Application Package Sent to Chicago (UPS)
10/31/2016: AOS Package Delivered
11/15/2016: E-Notifications received
11/21/2016: NOA received in mail

11/28/2016: Biometrics Appointment Letter received

12/07/2016: Bio metrics Appointment

01/22/2017: EAD is being produced (118 days)

07/03/2017: Interview is Scheduled

08/07/2017: Interview Day

08/08/2017: I-485 approval letter mailed

08/10/2017: permanent resident card mailed

08/14/2017: Received permanent resident card (almost 2 years journey)
