Though I am yet to receive a WL, ceac website allowed me to complete the DS-261 today. Let's see when I'll get the WL.

Did you mean you got your WL letter ? My PD date is August 12th 2015 and am yet to receive WL from NVC.

Any august 2015 applicant who have received WL please confirm.

Any PD July 2015 recieved WL yet? My PD is July 14, 2015 and nothing yet. I tried to pay the fee but it wont let me. I have the case number and invoice id. They are moving sooo slow. Any idea why?

Hi Showdown

My PD is August 2015 and I also got my invoice ID number from NVC without receiving WL.

All I did was sent an email to NVC and ask them for it.

I tried accessing the ceac website but unfortunately I was not able to choose agent or pay fees because my case is not yet ready for further processing.

The main reason I emailed NVC is because I wanted to make sure that my case was received by them.

Now I can rest assure that they have it and continue waiting for my WL to proceed.

You should be able to pay AoS immidiately. Did you try at all?

Ya i was able to pay AOS fee by the end of the day if not immediately and also got the WL thru email lil bit later.

What happens if a country has less applicants on the visa waiting list and moves faster than other countries irrespective of the "rest of the world" category not being current yet?

For example; Is it possible for country A to be current because it has lesser applicants and more visas available while country B and C retrogress because it has more applicants to number of visas available irrespective of the cutoff dates?

According to our lawyer, by moving to another country and reapply the petition, the PD will be reset on the date of your "re application", meaning your first PD will be disregarded. So i'm like, might as well wait then.

No i am not moving to a different country:) . I am just curious to know because i think some countries should have very few applicants and this should be a moving factors for such countries irrespective of the cutoff dates.

If you are talking about the countries falling within the rest of the world category, then the cut off dates remain the same as shown on visa bulletin regardless of number of applicants from that country. Once the PD becomes current, the people from countries with fewer applicants will likely have their interview scheduled faster compared to the ones with lots of applicants because of the availability at the embassy of that country.

Unless visa bulletin shows a different cut off date for that specific country, PD of different countries within rest of the world category will be current based on the cutoff date.

So, what's next?

Is it:

1. Pay IV Fee? when will we be able to pay IV fee?
2. Send AoS and Supporting documents? (mail/email/upload?)
3. Next??
