Yes I am here . we started the application on 23rd of February , got approved on 9th of July and sent to NVC , no news till now . The waiting is unbearable but we have nothing to do apart from waiting

My I-130 is pending since June 2015 You better be thankful

There is no reason to be jealous here. Each case is different. Your other postings explain why it's pending for almost a year.

Hello Everyone,

My Priority date is 29th June, 2015. I live in Canada on my work permit and my wife filled for me under F2A from NJ, since she filled, I received a letter saying my NVC case#, also they mentioned that currently we are not issuing any visa number and check visa bulletin for cut off date, am I on track? I am just waiting for cut off date now.

Regards,

Ronak

Hi,

My wife is in Canada. She can come here in the US thru visitors visa. Do you know if she can adjust status here? Priority date is july 23, 2015. Under f2a. Thanks!

Hello,

Im on the same boat. My husband is a Singaporean and he visits me frequently. Sadly, because we are LPR our partners cannot adjust their status under visa waiver program anyhow unless their PD is current. Maybe she can get another type of visa such as J1 or H1 so she can spend time here longer.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

1. try logging in to ceac website. if it goes through proceed if you want. If error shows up your case is not yet ready for further processing

2. prepare your documents for nvc

3. wait for your welcome letter to arrive

Just made a call to NVC and inquired about the status. She said from May 9, NVC is working on sending out the welcome letters to cases with PD of June 16, 2015 onward based on the new visa bulletin filling dates. She said it usually takes 42 days for NVC to do the homework on their own and told me to expect the welcome letter toward June 20. I asked her what about some people with PD of October getting WL, she said that could be true sometimes very rarely, but overall we all should expect the WL in around a month or so onward.

Arken, thanks for the update!

If NVC will start sending out Welcome Letters with PD June 16 2015 onward, does that mean they are done sending out WL to all applicants with PDs prior to June 16, 2015?

Do you or anyone else know if this is a good news? (How early does NVC send WL prior to PD becomes current?)

Thanks again!

DNIEPU,

We wont know the answer for sure but logically speaking, they should be done or at least almost done since they are ready to welcome new cases with open arms.

Previously, people say that once you receive your WL, your pd will be current in 6 months to 1 year. I got my WL last october, it has been 7 months since. Waiting for an interview letter for 6 months since Nov 2015 (case complete date).NVC is so unpredictable especially visa bulletin's movement. It was moving fast and then suddenly slowed down. The increase in employment visa probably indirectly affected us (family immigration) say, instead of them working on more family cases, they are working on employment-based application. Who knows? NVC is so secretive and we don't get the value of our money we paid for...

Thank you myao,

You are right NVC is very secretive, no one knows how the quotas are decided and how they prioritize the case types. I guess all we can do is wait and watch.

Hello Guys,

I have received a mail from NVC mentioning my NVC number and asking to check cut off date for submitting docs and fees, now on the bulletin there are 2 types of categories

A. APPLICATION FINAL ACTION DATES FOR FAMILY-SPONSORED PREFERENCE CASES

B. DATES FOR FILING FAMILY-SPONSORED VISA APPLICATIONS

which one to look at for cut off date?

Regards,

Ronak
