guys,

I have a question please, usually when I call NVC and ask about update of my case, or when I am going to receive the WL, or when I am going to start processing, or when I am going to start filling. there is only one answer for all this statements: we are processing cases with PD of June/15/2014; and your PD is march/2015 so there is no visa available for you case?? well, I don't need a visa now I just need to start filling my application; also how they knew that there is a visa available or not, is it based on what?? if it is PD some people received WL with even PD newest in the list than older ones ( good luck for everyone :) . for me seems like customer service doesn't know what's going on inside NVC.

Exactly! Same is the case with me. The representatives don't have exact info, they just tell us what has been updated in the system regarding our case. No real time info.

Still hope to receive WL soon. Fingers crossed!

Hello Myao, thanks for your encouraging words that i may be receivng welcome letter soon. But my priority date is still over 4 years away. Do you think NVC can still send the welcome letter in this case?

Hello Roop,

Not sure about that but I saw a petition while browsing online, they waited years before their pd became current. so they got cc years back.

hope that helps! don't put your hopes too high tho. 4 years is still 4 years but who knows

very good question! when i was reading on forums, they mentioned that nvc assigns visa number somewhere in the process. i used to think it's before you got your welcome letter but i now think you only get a visa number when your case is complete & your pd is current. only my assumptions based on current experience.

They sent me an email, it says our case is already on the list of "case complete" lists and would be eligible for interview once a visa number is available & when our pd is current

HI guys, I am here too! ;)

Filing for my wife on F2A, PD is April 24 2015. I-130 was approved, still a long way to go... If anyone could answer my question: I read somewhere that NVC would contact you regarding submission of documents (affidavit of support DS-260 etc..) like a year or so before a visa becomes available, letting you time to send back the documents. Is that correct? I just read again today that they send you these documents only once the PD is current. If that is true is there a way to fill or send them those documents before PD is current? In order to speed up the process once the PD is current because this will just take even more time. The waiting is just unbearable... Have any of you tried to have your spouse join you in the US for a few months on a visa waiver program for example? If yes how did it go at the port of entry?

Anyway it's good to see we are not alone asking ourselves theses questions;) This process is so nerve wrecking.. Good luck to all! :)

Its easy to find it in visa bulletin. there are two tables in visa bulletin, one indicates the visa availability and the other table is about submitting documents and filing application. eg Dec 2015 VB indicates in table 1 that cases with priority date on/before June 15,2014 have become current and visa is available to them. However Table 2 indicates that priority dates of March 1, 2015 can start submitting documents/application.

In table 2, for category F2A, dates for filing papers moved up to 15JUN2015 ... It was before 01MAR2015 .. That is a 3.5 months movement! How about that?

Could that possible mean a big jump for PD is expected in the near future? ... Looks Great!
