Just an update to those who are trying calling NVC to get case number or confirm if NVC received their case.

I called NVC today again and got thru it after several tries. The person from NVC told me that they have just received my case on Sep 23rd and a case number hasn't been assigned yet.

At least happy to know NVC received my file.

Looks like we are on the same boat. I called NVC on Wednesday and they told me they just received my case the day before on September 22nd... She said it would take "up to a month" to assign an NVC # and Invoice # and that if I had provided my email to USCIS then I would get this info sent to me by e-mail.

Also, just a note and advice on best times to call NVC:
The number to call (from within the US) to check on your case is 603.334.0700. Their website states that they are open from 7am - 12am EST (not sure if this means noon or midnight :/ I should've asked)
When you call most likely you will immediately get an recorded message that states something like we are currently busy with the overwhelming amount of calls we are receiving, call back later... and then the call hangs up.
As soon as you hear that message, hang up and try again. I called this Wednesday September 23rd in the morning at 7:51 AM EST and I got the message 10 times in a row. On the 10th time at 7:52 AM I finally got through the main menu. I forget what numbers I had to press, but I was on hold for a good 10 minutes until someone finally came on the line and answered my questions. She was nice and helpful.

I am happy for the progress so far. What do I expect next?

Yey!! Congrats!! you have to wait again.. now your papers are on its way to NVC. Give them at least 30 days to process your papers and you can start calling them.

Hello guys! I'm totaly confused now... Was our i130 approved or not? PD is 8 oct 2014! But now all i can see by checking my case status is that the "CASE WAS RECIVED AT MY LOCAL OFFICE" on 8sept2015( it was transferd from vermount sc to calif sc as i understood) Isn't taking to long time? almost one year now and dont even approved...((((

Based on the status, ur case is nit approved yet. Vermont SC was taking a lot of time and that's why they are transferring cases to other SC. Lets hope your case will now get processed and approved soon. Good luck.

Based on the status, ur case is nit approved yet. Vermont SC was taking a lot of time and that's why they are transferring cases to other SC. Lets hope your case will now get processed and approved soon. Good luck.

Bakshir, you have to wait and watch for a few days. If you don't hear anything then schedule appointment online. Don't worry if your documentation is in order, it will be approved. Files get transferred to manage the workloads and this is usual the case.
