How did it go? :)

Hi!

I believe the interview went ok, but I'm not so sure. Here's what happened:

We were called in together and he just asked us to confirm that we were married for about 1 year and 3 months and we answered yes. After that, he asked me to provide documents that we live together. I pulled our lease, joint credit card, joint checking account and joint savings account. After that, he asked me, well you have been together for over a year and that's all you have? I got that puzzled looked and told him we also have insurance information, health insurance, but he didn't listen and decided to split us.

My wife was first and she was there for an hour or so then he asked her to stay outside and called me in. I answered the questions, but on my turn it was faster, probably 30 minutes. At the end, he asked me the yes/no questions and said my file still needs to be reviewed. Knowing that my medical was probably expired, I asked him if he needed and he promptly answered yes (why didn't he ask before????) Oh well! I gave him my medical and off I went.

I asked my wife if he asked for more evidence and she said that she gave him our 2014 joint tax information as we haven't filed our 2015 yet. But I went over with her that questions he asked and I noticed that I did miss a few :-(, but the majority I got it right. So I don't know if I'll receive an approval, some sort of RFE, or another interview. Has anyone experienced that before?

On the flip side, when I got home, I noticed my new EAD card was there, so at least I can continue to work.

What about you, do you have any news on your case?

Wow... I'm so sorry to hear that... Keep checking your online status, I hope it will soon change to approved.

What's your local office? Did you check the reviews here?

No news here, I did my medical last Saturday, went back in on Monday to have my PPD skin test read, it was positive (I received a BCG shot when I was a teenager) so I needed a chect x-ray. Did that on Wednesday at a different place and now I'm waiting. The civil surgeon said he'll call me Monday to come and pick up my I-693 and then I'll overnight it to my local USCIS office so we'll see :)

Hi guys, I received my letter for interview today. Just wondering since some of you requires I-693. In the letter checklist, it does ask me to provide unless it has been submitted. I have just arrived in October 2015, my medical was done around September 2015. So it is quite recent, does that mean that the I-693 is included in sealed envelope upon arrival when I pass to checkpoint? I remember my K1 was DS3025. Hope someone can help me with this clarification.

Removal of Conditions I-751

Your case is similar to mine, so I think you have to have a new medical examination when the old one is expired.

you can contact with civil doctor in USCIS list first to ask them what vaccine you have to have, then go to your family doctor to get it. I do it bc I have my insurance pay for that.

Mine has not expired, I just took my vaccinations in September 2015. Its merely only 6 months?

I finally received my green card today. It was a long journey, had they waited 4 more months to approve my i-485, I would have gotten the 10 yr green card instead of the conditional one. But it's all good :)

Good luck to all of you still waiting!

Hello everyone,

I finally got an update from USCIS. Although is not the update I'd like to see, at least it looks like they want to close my case. They invited us for a second interview. I had a gut feeling that this would happen as I know I missed a couple of questions. Anyways, has anyone here have had a second interview?

Thank you and good luck to all of those who are still waiting :-)
