Got my Approval Notice on Friday and my Permanent Resident Card delivered Saturday. No interview. Filed back in May. Its a 10 year card because we were married for 4 and a half years before we filed :)

I married my British Husband strictly for financial purposes. My heart wrote a check and I cashed it. (L)

Thought yall may wanna know something interesting. I submitted a Case Inquiry on USCIS website Oct 27, 2015. Then I refiled for EAD & AP approximately 2 weeks later, about 2 months before expiration. So the letter we just got from USCIS after we were notified they approved her I-485 says the following:

"On Oct 27, 2015, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your I-485 to notify us that you have not received your Permanent Resident Card (PRC). Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

On Nov 23, 2015, we sent your PRC to you using the most recent address we have on file."

Sounds to me like they processed it in response to our inquiry & possibly even aided by them having received new EAD/AP request (which they also approved separately) while they were "investigating." I know others have said this before, but this letter seems to confirm that they take action when they're pushed. We'd possibly still be waiting had I not've submitted the inquiry & reapplied for EAD/AP.

I am now over 11 months into AOS and still have no good news.

Submitted my AOS on 12/18/2014 and my local field office is processing 02/21/2015.

Received NPIW on 03/21/2015 stating 6 month delay. This expired on 09/20/2015 but still nothing.

Submitted a service request with Tier 2 on 10/16/2015 for outside processing time frame and just got this as a reply.

"On October 16, 2015, you contacted USCIS concerning your Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status (Form I-485) to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved."

"Your petition/application is still pending consideration. We regret that we are not able to give you a time frame for when we will complete the review of your petition/application"

I had also contacted my congressman and heard back from him today stating that they received a very generic response to their inquiry also.

Has anyone else had this response or can anyone provide any further insight into what the meaning of this statement is?

Thanks Aidan

It means you have to wait, nothing gonna change. I got the same answer like you too. now, hope the congressman can help you, or just call Uscis every week to push them.

I also renewed my EAD, and I got letter for biometric. I thought that we dont need to do biometric again when we renew EAD. Does anyone have to the same thing?

To people who are waiting as long as you 3 have been, I would continue to do periodic service requests. But I would also recommend doing a service inquiry every week on uscis.gov just to annoy whomever there has to actually work the inquiry. Also, seeing the application every week may get someone to just process it.

Hi Aidan,

Well I am in the same boat! I filed in December last year as well, received a potential waiver interview in April, I made an inquiry about why my case is taking so long (like you did) in October and received an answer from uscis!

The status of this service request is:

Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in the order received and in a timely and efficient manner. We regret any inconvenience that results from delays in processing.

Amazing right???!!!

Adjudicating benefits in the order received!!! I sent it LAST YEAR!!!

I am so frustrated :protest:

Recently, somebody came in the US on a waiver program, she married a month after her entry, did not go back in her country to filed for a CR1 but just stay in the US and filed for AOS.... She had her interview 2 months after and received her Green card 2 weeks after!!! Well go for her but seriously... <_< OK!!!

Anyway, so I am still waiting, I am going to contact my congressman but I am not holding my breath...
