Congratulations for all the approvals!

Being busy lately since my husband is retired and we are now residing in Glendale, AZ, from Key West, Florida. I just wanted to share my experience regarding my green card. My husband drove us (with our cats!) from Key West to Glendale. When we reached a gate patrol about 22 miles west of Las Cruces in New Mexico, we stopped by a border patrol at the gate.

The officer to my husband: Are you US citizen, Sir?

My husband: Yes.

The officer to me: And you, Ma'am?

My husband: She's from Indonesia.

Me: I did not say anything. I gave him my green card, he checked it then returned it.

The officer: Where you will going to?

My husband: Arizona.

The officer said something and let us go. I'm happy because I got my green card in time before we moved to another place far distance especially we traveled along the border between US and Mexico. And I did not reapply for EAD and AP because I felt unfair for all this process that took more than a year to get green card in hand.

My husband drove 6 days in row, by the way! :D ...because I can't drive...yet! :P

Got NPIW late june and got my welcome letter today in the mail. I've noticed some people said that their case status got updated to 'card in production' right after 'welcome notice was mailed'. I was wondering how long does this status change usually take because mine is still at 'welcome notice was mailed'?

I submitted my package back in November 2014 and received a NPIW letter in February. I sent off a service request earlier in the month (my wife's family lives at a border town in Texas and I wanted some kind of formal update before I brave one of the checkpoints) and lo and behold, I get a letter from my local office dated the same as the service request asking me to come in for an interview and asking for a new medical.

Just to give some people in NPIW limbo a little bit of encouragement.

(Apart from needing a new medical but I was pretty much expecting that.)

I wish they would at least schedule us for an interview, filed in July 2014 received the NPIW in January, and still sitting in the limbo. The last service request stated that due to workload outside of USCIS they are experiencing delays in our case. Since July 2014 really?

Hello Fellow VJers,

My wife and I filed our AOS forms on January 15, 2015. We received NOA 1 for AOS on January 22, 2015. We then received the dreaded "Notice of Potential Interview Wavier Case" letter dated for June 11, 2015 and received the hardcopy letter on June 18, 2015.

Today we were so happy to receive the notification that our case had been updated. We received a text and then an email a few hours later that her new card had been ordered. We then recieved another text and email several hours later saying that the Welcome Letter had been mailed along with some information on when we should receive the card. No request for a new medical or evidence ever recieved.

Good Luck Everyone!

Regards,
D

Hello everyone.

I am a March Filer (k1 to aos) and received NPIW letter on june 22. My medical already expired last sept 4. Patiently waiting for updates from them (no rfe please hehe).

- after posting this i checked my status online and it states "Card was mailed to me. On October 1, 2015, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number MSCxxx to the address you gave us."

Does this mean i got approved?

Hi, just a quick question - how did they reply to the service request? Was it an email, case status update or a letter?

Thank you :)

Hopefully you'll have better luck than we did...

This is what we got:

The status of this service request is:

Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in the order received and in a timely and efficient manner. We regret any inconvenience that results from delays in processing.

Yes it does :) Congrats!
