Just got the Receipt notices in mail... Can't wait to receive the acceptance mails..

That is great! We got our NOAs in the mail on Friday, August 14. Today, Monday 17th, to my surprise, I found the biometrics letter in the mail.I was just checking the mail for a goof lol. Made my day.

My biometrics are scheduled for September 2nd in Port Chester and I am now contemplating if I should try to do an early walk in...hmmm.

Did you get your biometrics letter yet?

I like the way that our applications follow the same timelines, especially since we're the only ones posting lol.

OMG! What a coincidence,we got our NOAs in mail on Friday too! Our timelines are treading the same path!

Did you receive any electronic notifications prior to getting the snail mail or did you just get the biometric letter in mail?

I hope we receive our letter this week! #fingerscrossed

September 2nd is not that far away. But, considering the long weekend ahead, I would try and schedule a walk-in if possible. There will be some possible delays when people take off the entire week before or after the labor day weekend.

And personally, I am very impatient so I would like do a walk-in like right away! lol..

I will be sure to keep y'all (and you) posted about any updates!!

Just got my Biometric appointment letter in mail!! OMG!!

My appointment is scheduled for September 1 at Elizabeth, NJ.

Did anyone attend a walk-in biometric appointment prior to their scheduled date? I read on another forum that some that tried to do that got sent away by the security guards. Could that be an isolated event? or do they allow you to walk-in early?

Maybe I should just wait it out till Sep 1.

Aug 6,2015. Mailed out the package

Aug 8,2015. Delivered

Aug 10,2015. Texts emails

Aug 12,2015 The package routed to benefit center

Aug 13,2015. Checks cashed

Aug 16,2015. Got Receipt notice in the mail for all 3 forms

Hopefully will get fingers print appointment in a few days

Keeping you posted... I just got back from my walk in in Port Chester. Everything went well, they were super nice. The place wasn't to crowded, wasn't empty either... I think it took with the wait and all like 20-25 minutes.

The woman who did my fingerprints and photo said the EAD card will arrive in about 2 months. I soooo hope it's earlier than that, we want to take a trip and can't really leave US mainland without the card... So fingers crossed. Hope everything continues to go as smooth as it did till now...

My advice is to try to do the "walk in". Be nice and cool about it and chances are you're going to be ok.

I'm going to try to get in tomorrow or on Friday. Wow, 2 months from today is about the same as MSC processing time frame.. But I'm sure you'll get it before two months. What time did you get in? I'm planning to be there at 8AM..

Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get your EAD/AP sooner.. I got mine (temporary EAD when I was a student) in about 60 days..

Let's hope for the best! I will keep you posted about our progress!

I got there 10.15- ish. I had read before on the forum that Wednesday would be a good time to go, before or after lunch. I don't know how valid that point is, but it sure seemed to work for me.

Thanks for the info! From what I read, everyone went in early for their appointments..

And Yes, we will get our EAD's soon!

The EAD is processed by the Service Centers, in our case it is The MSC/NBC. The last I checked, their EAD ©(9) processing times were current, which means we should be getting our EAD's in approximately 30-60 days from our biometric appointment, hopefully!

We sent our package in yesterday. Adjusting from K1. Will expedite my travel due to family emergency back in Sweden as soon as I get my case number.

I'm a complete noob when it comes to the AOS. When we filed for K1 I had read so much about it and I was so prepared I felt like a pro. This time it feels like we were more or less thrown into it. How does the processing work? I know that we've sent our package to the Chicago Lockbox... Does it then go to the local office, in my case the DC office? Or does it go to some kind of service center like with the K1?
