Just got my RFE mail...it states:

Submit all supporting tax documentation(W-2s,1099s,Form 2555,and all supporting tax schedules)submitted to the internal revenue service for the most recent tax year. The petitioner/sponsor's household member must submit all supporting tax documents for the most recent tax year.

What should I send?

Follow this, read the Instruction carefully and use the Checklist to give yourself a check after you done all paper works.

1. Form I-864 Instructions 07/02/15, link:http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864instr.pdf

2. CHECKLIST FOR PREPARING THE I-864, link:http://www.4uth.gov.ua/usa/english/travel/visa/checklis.htm

See if you have any joint sponsors, make sure you include their W-2, Tax Return forms.

Good luck!

What did you send in with your application on the I-864? If you sent Tax Transcripts then it would be highly unlikely for you to have been given an RFE. If you only sent the 1040 tax form, then you also have to give all W2's from the recent tax year. If you did submit the 1040, did you supply all the pages? You must supply all the pages if you're going this route. Did you also submit 6 months worth of pay stubs? Did you submit a letter of continued employment?

Let us know what you sent in and we can better advise you on what you'll need to send for the RFE. Don't panic, you'll get it sorted.

Thanks for the reply..I sent the IRS transcript from 2012 to 2014 of the petitioner and that of the petitioner's household member for the form I- 864A,6 months pay stubs of both the petitioner and the household member.i did not send any of they letter of employments. Edited by judefabulous

The letter of continued employment is a requirement of the form, to prove that they can continue supporting you going forward.

To cover all your bases I've re-submit the I-864 (signed), the I-864A (also signed), the tax transcripts for all the years you are submitting in sequential order for both parties, the 6 months pay stubs for both parties, all applicable W-2s (just to be on the safe side) from both parties, and letters of continued employment from any jobs they currently hold.

Just to let you know, you'll want the letters of continued employment to be on official letterhead paper from the companies in question. We got my co-sponsor to get her employer to write one like this:

To Whom It May Concern,

(Name) has been employed by (Name of Company) in the position of (Name of position) since (start date of employment) with an annual salary of $00,000. This position is permanent and not temporary.

If you require any further information, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

(Name of Boss)

(Title)

Best to go through your checklist for the I-864 before you send anything off in reply to the RFE. It's very strange that you submitted tax transcripts and they still are asking for evidence. Did you have a joint sponsor? I'd perhaps even think of supplying the photocopied 1040s along with the tax transcripts, despite this perhaps being overkill as I wouldn't want to risk anything at this point. Up to you entirely, but make sure you have it all together before you send it off. Definitely use the checklist from here: http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864instr.pdf

Even if sending the full 1040 (all pages) with the tax transcripts may be overkill, it's what I would do just to be sure. Hopefully you get it all together soon and get the case back on schedule. ??

It's not a requirement, so don't worry about it. Seems odd that the employer won't give something like that out though... Anyway, don't fret about it, it's a 'nice to have' in regards to the application but the RFE is more about the tax documentation.

So I had my Biometrics appointment today. We got there about a half hour earlier than 11am and were let straight in. The guard was lovely and made a joke about our local high school football team kicking his kids arses. I apologised jovially, and filled out a very quick form and was called back up pretty much straight away. Then waited for about a minute and called up to a super friendly lady who took my fingerprints. She noted I just had a birthday on the 6th and hers was the 2nd, so we both wished each other a belated happy birthday and then she took my photo. She was so kind in making sure I liked it before I left. I only took it twice as I knew it couldn't get much better! I wish they could do what we do in the UK and supply our own, but the system is the system I guess... Either way, we were in and out in about 5 minutes in all. Can't recommend the Oakland Application Service Centre enough!

She told me I'd receive my work authorisation card in about 3 weeks. I can't wait to go and get my SSN, drivers license and start applying for jobs. Not being able to work has been the toughest part of this whole process.

Now just to wait for any RFE's (fingers crossed there are none) and then the interview letter!

Nice to finally see some progress in this thread, it's been very quiet lately. I'm returning to the US tomorrow and then we're going to deal with our RFE. We have requested an infopass for next week just to double check we're doing the right thing with our RFE.

My husband did an early walk in for his biometrics on Tuesday, the 23rd. He had no problems getting in early. There was a little bit of a wait because he got there about 10:15 and they had already started their 10:00 group so he had to wait to go in with the 11:00 group. It wasn't a long wait at all, in and out of there in about an hour. Hopefully the work authorization will show up sooner rather than later! One more hurdle out of the way.
