Good afternoon .To those having their interview in Senegal (IR-1/CR-1). Has anyone received an appointment letter yet?.

My CC was 07/16/2015 and I am still waiting .NVC is no help as to weather they even have started scheduling for Dakar .This is frustrating :ranting::ranting:

Not sure about the spousal visa but for the fiancee visa I had to create an account on this website https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-sn/iv and then schedule a date. I waited two weeks before calling the embassy to only be told to do this as part of the new process. I hope this helps.

thanks for the info .unfortunately it doesn't apply for ir-1/cr-1 visas .

I don't understand whats the holdup .Dakar consulate isn't as busy as the rest of the countries but yet the wait is out of control

You sure about that? As far as I know, Dakar processes immigrant visas for some neighboring posts - Guinea for example. There's also an issue of DV immigrant visas that are bound by strict deadline for expiration if not issued by September 30th...

Deadline is only for diversity immigrant visas, all other categories aren't affected by this. Google diversity visa lottery for more info.
