I'm not sure if the deflections are a way to avoid reality or just another way to say "my gun is bigger than yours". Or maybe it's both. But it takes a "special" kind of person to have no sympathy for the mass murder of hundreds of thousands of other human beings.

I wonder if we were having a conversation of this nature in Nazi Germany would you be questioning my background because I don't agree with gassing people and putting them into ovens?
