People die in war. That's life. Japan got what was coming to them, back in that day and age. Dropping those bombs prevented many more millions of lost lives, and changed the Japanese way of thinking. It is sad that innocent civilians had to die, but sometimes, people must pay the price for the decisions made by their fellow countrymen and women.

It's no different in Africa or the Middle East today, except that because nuclear weapons aren't being used, the wars will continue on for years, and there will many times over the handful of deaths that Japan experienced back then.

Says who?

That's what he said.

And George W Bush said bad intelligence made him invade Iraq...

I think we all know now that's a load of toss

By that standard does that also apply to 9/11 or do you only wheel out the empathy when it's your countrymen who are the victims?

And the red coats? You always mention it, yet I guess it's me who has an issue with it

The liberal elite ... know that the people simply cannot be trusted; that they are incapable of just and fair self-government; that left to their own devices, their society will be racist, sexist, homophobic, and inequitable -- and the liberal elite know how to fix things. They are going to help us live the good and just life, even if they have to lie to us and force us to do it. And they detest those who stand in their way."

Were you raped , LIB.

All history is revised by the way...not much point arguing with someone wearing blinders.

So you think the U.S. Government at the time dropped these experimental(at the time) bombs, to avenge the Chinese????

Don't make me laugh.

Keep spreading the hate. The survivors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki are far better people than you. They have not let their hearts and minds be warped by hatred.

If I were you I would br more worried about the current PM, Abe's attitude towards nuclear bombs;)

Caroline Kennedy is paying a visit today...

I'm going to guess his hatred is coming from the fact his spouse is Chinese. And you know folks who tend to have bigoted views tend to see things in broad strokes. Makes it much easier since rational thinking disproves a large chunk of those beliefs.

What's truly sad is, this type of racist, hateful attitudes is coming from folks married to people from Asia. It's a shame...

I wonder if the folks that are widowed from 9/11 feel the same way.
