I emailed the senator and in basic I was very cordial and humble. We were looking for movement and a reasonable time line not jump the line so to speak.

Case is at the consulate and status changed to Ready for interview. I emailed the consulate to see if a date had been scheduled yet. (No word yet but normally takes a day or two)

May 12, 2014 - Case recieved at Chicago, IL.

May 13, 2014 - Case accepted. Received LIN#. Case forwarded to USCIS, Nebraska. i-797 hard copy received shortly after.

No email from the Consulate after 2nd email to them last night. Hmmmmmmmm they were pretty good about answering when they knew our case was at the NVC. :rofl:

^Saigon Consulate (Vietnam)

Well the wife received call from the consulate today and we also received interview letter w/appt date. She also was able to schedule medical so we are finally on the calendar and heading towards the finish line.

17th Sept Medical

22 Sept Interview

:dance::joy:

It looks like appointments now are being scheduled for all in regards to Vietnam so I dare say by being a squeaky wheel only saved us a week or two. Anyways I hope everyone gets their dates quickly and positive outcome for all.

Mine is Oct 6, and i just found out last night...they gave me 3 weeks...does anyone know if we need to redo the police record or is it still good? I called and they said the paperwork should be fine since the NVC OKed it. But they also said they don't know in VN. Anyone?

Yeah to be safe and be over with. Not sure if we can get it in time. 3 weeks and that takes at least 2 weeks to get. It's going to be close
