I booked my ticket for $525. SGN -> NRT -> USA depart on Oct 25. And only $30 fee for changing the date

I bought it through a travel agency in HCM. If she live in in HCM I can give you a phone number to check for the ticket price. From SGN to NRT it's Vietnam Airlines and from NRT to USA it's Delta. Only 3 hours wait in Japan

Btw Sep 30, I got my visa delivered by the courier

Looks like her POE will be ATL. My wife's POE was Atlanta and it was a pleasant experience. Hope your wife gets the same treatment.

wow thats an incredible price. I think my fiance's POE will be ORD or DFW but even with miles / voucher I'm still apt to avoid United, $500 is good and Id prefer Delta > United/ORD for sure. NRT is way better than Hong Kong too.

Did you get a one way or a round trip (cancel the return?) but I need to schedule ample time for the POE and last connection.

Plan your connection flight to have at least 2 1/2 to 3 hrs layover at POE just in case. We did and it took us about 1 and 1/2 hours to wait in line and process her paperwork, and another 1/2 hour to go grab our luggages and re-check them in.

Yea I just saw a SGN to NYC direct and then connect here, which would be one less connection but a very long 20hr flight. SFO seems like an interesting option and good POE too. I dont think i have enough miles w/ United anyhow so not going to let that keep me w/ them. hard to find a nice middle ground w/ that last POE connection either really short ones or 10 hrs

I've always paid $12-1500 / flight and a few times for parents too. So several trips over the last years for me and mom a few more times and its kinda exp. If I could get a break on this it'd be nice Still have to get past interview 11.4 and then visa in hand though....

are you talking about united flight? from sgn to newark? if that's the one, the flight stop in HKG.
