Waiting on NVC to Schedule Interview - HCMC

According to NVC all my paper work has been approved as of April 28 for my spouse and we are waiting on the interview to be scheduled at HCMC.. Well it has been 3 months and no movement on the CEAC status page. I am still getting the dreaded case is still at the NVC. Of course if I call the NVC there response is no additional information and to be just patient. I contact the US Embassy in HCMC, Vietnam and they say the NVC is responsible for scheduling interviews. It just boggles my mind that an interview can't be scheduled within 3months. Does anyone have any thoughts on the wait time or any ideas on how to move this along?

Well, we are in the same boat as you. Still waiting for that email with an interview date.. The spreadsheet shows an average of 2-3 months but in your case, it has been more than 3 months..

As expected NVC told me to be patient and the embassy told me to contact the NVC.

Well hopefully I hear something this month, but it's rather frustrating not having an idea on when it will happen.

According to the spreadsheet, other members were getting interview scheduled around 70-80 days after CC. I'm approaching the 80 days mark now. Someone with CC on 6/1 claimed to have their interview scheduled on 8/2.

Looking at this, it is giving me hope that our cases will be looked at anytime..

Note that you can schedule as soon possible after paying for the visa,,,from last time I check there were available interview as soon as Aug 17-18,, we did not choose them as we still have medical and vaccine to take care off before interview.,,, Also, I am planning to fly back to VN to be with my fiancee for the interview.

2015-02-10 :Trip to Vietnam to celebrate Tet, meet my fiancee

2015-03-16 :Back to USA, could not file for I-129F, until my divorce paper was finalize.

2015-05-01 :Divorce paper final

2015-05-08 :Submitted I-129F to Lewisville, TX Lockbox via USPS

2015-05-13 :NOA-1 (Received official Receipt Notice from the mail)

2015-06-22 :NOA-2 (Received approval by text and email)

2015-06-26 :NOA-2 (Received official approval, Form I-797) note on the I-797, notice date 2015-06-22

2015-07-21 :Finally able to talk to NVC, got HCM#, case still in administrative review, not going to Vietnam yet.

myztic - luckily I am keeping a sense of humor about this or it would really drive me mental. Anyways hopefully we will both see a positive result very soon though honestly my goal when we applied last Dec was Christmas 2015. :joy:

Yeah, it is better to expect the worst but I think your and my interview is coming up pretty soon. From reading around other forums, it looks like scheduling will start to occur during this week.

May 12, 2014 - Case recieved at Chicago, IL.

May 13, 2014 - Case accepted. Received LIN#. Case forwarded to USCIS, Nebraska. i-797 hard copy received shortly after.
