Hi, we are trying to get an appointment at the Ciudad Juarez consulate for the K1 Visa but we are waiting until more dates open, my Passport (the alien fiance) expires on April 2016, what if it expires before we can get a date? Since all my documents even the DS-160 form have this passport's information, can I get a new one and take this one also to the interview? How do I let them know, I didn't think it was gonna be hard to get a date, or take way to much, it's really important, THANK YOU!!!

Not sure if the Mexican passport renewal process is similar to the US Passport renewal process. Your old "punched-out" void US passport is returned to you with the new valid US passport. If so, take both the new and old passports to your interview for the IO to view.

HTH,

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Yes, they return it punched, so there will not be an issue if I get a new one? I can take all my passports to the interview, I just don't want it to be a problem at my interview that all the information has the almost expired passport
