So I finally received my case number, and invoice ID!!. NVC received my information on December 30th, and yesterday (11 January) when I called, I was already in the system with both case number and invoice number assigned. It looks like it's really only taking about two weeks for them to enter the information, so I would call in about two weeks to check.

Awesome! Once you pay the AOS fee you can actually send in both packets right away!!! Every day counts!

Why is Nebraska showing processing August 14th and later filers getting accepted and even July filers too at the same time. does it depend on the country??

no but some get stuck in back ground checks at this stage. It's why some take longer

My scan date at NVC is officially Jan 13, I recommend once everyone gets their NOA 2 to get their things together asap because the time increased for a case to complete from 30 to 45 days (some longer). So the sooner you turn your packets and forms, the sooner you can get a scan date and just wait for case complete since its taking longer than usual...

"The National Visa Center (NVC) received your documents on 13­JAN­16. We are experiencing a high volume of incoming mail at this time. Please allow 30 days from the date we received your mail for the NVC to review your documents. We are diligently working to reduce our review time and appreciate your patience. The NVC will notify you after our review if there is additional information required or if we are able to schedule your case for an interview overseas."

It is not bad once you are swift in responding to what they have requested. Try and exercise patience and receIve the RFE in mail. Gather whatever doc requested ASAP and send out. I have seen a few in NVC Thread that had similar issue but thEIr timeline shows that once NVC recEIved the RFE doc they got approval 10 days or more afterwards.

Just send what they want, once they have it you will get through. They will send you what was missing and just mail it in.

1/28/2016 review 261 to get iv fee unlocked ( unlocked once I did review,was taking to long)

2/1/ 2016 sent AOS & IV packets together to nvc while I waited for iv fee to open to save time.

2/4/2016 paid IV Fee and waited to do ds260

2/3/2016 nvc received aos and iv packets(scan date)

2/7/2016 ds260 completed and now waiting for cc

4/20/15 shots 4/25/15 rest of medical exam

INTERVIEW APRIL 27TH @8:30

April 27th 221g for additional documentation and placed in administrative processsing.

June 20th submitted evidence requested

June 23rd case was touched by embassy

August 1st case was touched again.

AUGUST 16TH embassy called and wants a new co sponser yet he met requirements.

Found a new co-sponsor

Handed in aos sept 11th

Set 18th another update

Sept 28th update and embassy called

SEPT 29TH ISSUED FINALLY

OCT 2nd visa in hand

POE October 22nd 2016

1/4/2016 petition received at NVC (call and confirm it arrives. About 15 days try to get your case number and receipt number, I got mine in 11 days)
