Oh and in case others were wondering (I certainly was):

You get a email/SMS notification of your NOA2, if you got one for the NOA1. And checking your case number also shows the updated status.

04/30/2014: Married :)
08/11/2015: I-130 mailed to Chicago lockbox via FedEx
08/17/2015: NOA1 - Nebraska Service Center

@Kylahdavid

According to this page: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

"Translations

NVC's website states:

"All documents not written in English, or in the official language of the country in which application for a visa is being made, must be accompanied by certified translations and submitted to the NVC. The translation must include a statement signed by the translator stating that the:

-Translation is accurate, and

-Translator is competent to translate."

Despite this, I have seen cases of people getting checklists for not having translations of non-English documents. I'd suggest you get everything translated anyways to be on the safe side. It's not needed, but highly recommended.

Additionally, embassies/consulates in some countries require translations of documents into English even though they are written in the official language of the country, so it's best to check with the embassy/consulate to see what document translation requirements are."

Hi there I am in the same boat with you so I understand fully

Just saw the update online. Once I receive the mail let's see what they wanted. As far as I know I have sent them everything and even more. I hope this won't delay my process any further.

I never got an email, still havent. I had to call them after my status said it was sent to department of state

have you called to see if it arrived at nvc? Don't forget to call and ask for the case number and invoice ID I called and got that and didn't get the letter until way later . So call :)

called yesterday to see of they had my case number and invoice id. She said up to 42 days they have to enter it into system. Thud

So I finally received my case number, and invoice ID!!. NVC received my information on December 30th, and yesterday (11 January) when I called, I was already in the system with both case number and invoice number assigned. It looks like it's really only taking about two weeks for them to enter the information, so I would call in about two weeks to check.
