I filed in August and i was approved aug 10 and my case is in nvc i see they will are still on May 2nd cases! Meaning im going to be waiting till next year so emotional i miss my husband

It's so difficult that things are so unpredictable throughout this whole process. 2 cases can be sent on the same day and I've seen some take less than 5 months for a cr1 and some well over a year. We all hope... That's all we can do.

Married in Barbados: June 10 2015

***USCIS***

Jul 20 2015: Lawyer Mailed I-130 Packet to Chicago lockbox

Aug 7 2015: I-130 NOA1 (California!!!)

Nov 17 2015: I-130 approved (102 days since NOA1)

***NVC***

Nov 25 2015: NVC received our file

Dec 11 2015: NVC case # assigned

Dec 14 2015: AOS & IV billed (same time as we have lawyer)

Dec 14 2015: Received email with case number and invoice number

Dec 15 2015: Paid AOS & IV Fees

Dec 20 2015: Fees show as "paid".

Dec 20 2015: Email expedite request (financial & medical)

Dec 31 2015: Email from NVC. EXPEDITE APPROVED!

Jan 8 2016: Mailed AOS & IV packets

Jan 11 2016: Packets delivered to NVC & marked "in transit" to consulate!

Jan 12 2016: CEAC status "READY"!

Jan 14 2016: DHL tracking shows file" delivered"

Jan 16 2016: Appointment letter (pkt4) Feb 16!!!

Feb 9 2016: Medical

Feb 16 2016: Interview/Approved!!!!

Feb 17 2016: Issued!

Hello august filers...even though I am still waiting, it's encouraging to see so many success stories. My I 130 was received august 10th 2015, I had one miner set back, my noa1 was sent back because i messed up on my address, but I fixed it in September and they sent back a confirmation of change of address and I got my noa1. My case is in Nebraska ??? anyone had any luck lately???

No i checked the site for nvc they are on may 2nd

USCIS site shows cases approved/updated as of September 30th 2015.

They are way ahead.

This thread has been very quiet... Guess no more approvals yet. I just got back from seeing my husband in Jamaica, though it was awesome, I'm sad again because I had to leave at the end of my visitation??. This was quite difficult- and so I was bent out of shape with tears and snot at the airport.. At least the officers were nice and offered words of encouragement. This waiting is so difficult- I know everyone here knows what I mean. Nonetheless, I am happy to have this thread; funny- but it's somewhat therapeutic to check from time to time, and re-ignite hope when someone gets approved?... Hope this will be a week of approvals for all of us!!☺️

I know what you mean... I saw my hubby from Thursday to Sunday too. To tell you the truth, I was REALLY hoping that since a new center is now open (Potomac)- that I-130 approvals would have been much faster for all of us (since the slower centers would share the load)... But maybe it's too soon to tell, guess we will have to wait and see...

I have two children with my husband, the extra airfare is so expensive, so I am not so lucky to be able to see him as much as some.AND we are waiting for this lengthy process...but don't worry guys it will all be worth it. ?
