They didn't give me a number (and I feel stupid I didn't ask)! Anyways, not to be a party pooper but often these service requests don't appear to be answered in 45 days. I know of one person who didn't get a response for a year (well after the greencard even arrived). If the holdup as CSC is what we think it is (we are held up to), the FBI namecheck, then there is nothing they can do for you except wait for the namecheck to clear. Infopass might be worth it though, another user found out that her case never even got sent to CSC, it just sat at MSC and all the while she thought her case was being processed it was in someones file drawer or something.

I received a confirmation number for my service request but I never needed to use it. I got a written response back about 50 days after the request was made, and unfortunately I'm the person Miranda is referring to- I got told to make an infopass appt, and at that appt I was told that my case, even though it was supposed to have been sent to CSC and I had the NOA from CSC to prove it, unfortunately it had never been sent and was instead filed away. I'm glad I got the service request as it gave me the chance to find out what was going on with my case, and finally get it sent to CSC, although i'm still very annoyed that for 5 months I thought it was at CSC when in fact it was just filed away. Oh well..... I hope your request gives you an answer for why you've been waiting.

what processing times? you cannot go by your local office as you have been transferred to CSC and CSC does not have any family based processing times posted.

I have done 4 service requests, was given #'s for each of them, never heard anything. (August, Sept, Oct, Nov)
