Constantly getting logged out

I posted about this on the 'remember me' thread, but I think this is different... it's not that I'm being logged out of VJ on a daily basis, more like a minutely basis! Honestly, it doesn't remember me for even five minutes - I am CONSTANTLY having to log in, over and over and over again. And it is driving me insane. Is this happening to anyone else? Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can stop it happening? I'm using Firefox, on a Mac, and it's never happened before, it just started a couple of days ago.

(aaaand.... I couldn't even post this first time - because I'd been signed out while typing it! )

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

Okay, I'm getting sick of this... am I the only one this is happening to? It's happening if I use Safari, as well as Firefox. If I try to reply to a thread, I get signed out before I finish typing my response - so annoying!! I deleted all my cookies, in the hopes that would help... but it didn't.

Thanks Jenn. :)

I know there's no point in anyone responding if it's not happening to them - was just getting a bit frustrated there! Hardly the end of the world though... I will just go and have a cup of tea and browse threads whilst not being logged in, I think! :)

I guess the site does "cookie-flushes" too oft.

Haha - I'm like you with the 23.95/7 thing. I did a (rare-ish) reboot a couple of times today, just to see if it helped, but... no.

But having said that (I almost don't want to type this and make it all go wrong again), I've stayed logged in for about an hour now (whereas before I was having to log in every couple of minutes, without fail), so fingers crossed it's going to behave from now on! :)

Filed: K-1 Visa Country: Egypt
Timeline

It is happening to me too... I don't know what is going on. I has been happening for the past few days too. Occassionally it happens at work but at home it is happening just as often. The other thing that happens is that when I am logging in it will tell me that it is logging me in but then when it gets to the home page it says welcome guest....arrrrgggg! Very frustrating!

When you are having these types of problems it often helps if you clear your cache. This is different to cookies.

Aha, I did that (always do both at the same time) but neglected to mention it! Anyway, just wanted to say that it all seems fine now - I started having a whole ton of computer problems last week and was losing my internet connection every few minutes. After gnashing my teeth over the whole thing for a couple of days and trying everything I could think of, I switched to a different router I had lying around... everything went back to normal, and the VJ-signing-out thing hasn't happened since. Thanks, everyone - obviously my dodgy router was to blame all along! :)
