I have a name error in my Certificate of Naturalization with my first name and middle name mixed up. I need to get this fixed with form N-565 before sponsoring my fiance. From the website, it says processing time is 6 months but then I looked at the timeline and it says for N-565, right now they are working on cases from January 2014. Wow, 17 month wait, is this accurate?

I tried to find out how I could expedite it but I didn't find anything clear. So I included a letter with my N-565 form explaining that I am a single father of a toddler who has some developmental delays and it has been a challenge raising my daughter alone and my fiance would help to ease some of my problems. I included my divorce papers, doctor's note, and documents from the Regional Center (disability service center) regarding my daughter's developmental delays.

Do you think they will approve the expedite request? I sent the form last week. What else can I do to improve my chance of getting it faster than 6 months rather than the 17 months?
