For AOS and EAD, after Biometrics, do we just sit tight and wait wait wait? Can progress be established anywhere? (USCIS status has not been updated for weeks)

Or, is no news good news??

From my understanding it's all a waiting game after the Biometrics - you should receive your EAD (assuming you applied for that) within 2 months from your Biometrics appointment but in regards to your Green Card there's nothing more, unless you get called in for an interview and who knows when that will be? I don't think the USCIS status gets updated again until approval and/or when your card is being produced.

Our Visa Journey (L) (See our Immigration timeline for a very detailed K-1 and AOS process)

08/17/2015 - I-129F petition/packet sent off
12/17/2015 - Visa Interview in Sweden. We're APPROVED!!!
01/14/2016 - P.O.E. @ Newark International Airport
03/21/2016 - Got married @ town hall
03/22/2016 - AOS, EAD, AP packet sent off
08/03/2016 - Became a Conditional Permanent Resident
05/07/2018 - ROC packet sent off

06/12/2019 - ROC approved (no RFE, no transfer, no interview)

Thanks very much. That's put my mind at rest :)

It's the EAD that I am eager for - to get working and make some money.

I was hoping for EAD by end of May / start of June - April 4th was my biometrics so that ties in with what you are saying.

The Green Card isn't relevant to my life right now so that can happen in its own sweet time.

Cheers - I think I'll pop to the DMV again now and try to sort out their latest nonsense. Ha.

AOS Finally sent, so it begins again.

This process moves a lot faster though, at least in my opinion. I have my biometrics appointment on Tuesday. I'm just looking forward to get my EAD, the Green Card can come whenever - as long as I can work and make money :)

In full out wedding planning here and finance's visa still have not been issued :crying: and we have our hearts set on May 22nd, which should have given this process plenty of time ..... but it's ridiculous how long this administrative processing has been going on.
I got an email the guy in the immigrant visa unit that had been handling our case on March 22nd saying that the mandatory administrative processing is complete. Well, he went on vacation for over a month now and I'm having to email another person from immigrant visas at the consulate and got a response today saying he is "subject to additional administrative processing, which is mandatory". And the best he can say is "Please be assured that he will be contacted as soon as processing in his case is completed."
That doesn't give me any clue whether or not he will be able to make it in time for the planned date of our wedding  They refuse to say more.

That's great to hear. I was looking forward to a bit of down time before getting back to work, but apparently 1 month was all i needed. Trying to keep myself occupied with wedding number 2 planning, but really need to start making money.

heh I sent off my AOS the day after we got married - which was the same day as you guys (L) - From AOS delivery date till my Biometrics appointment it will have been exactly 1 month so I think that's pretty fast! :)

I'm shaking as I'm writing this because I'm still in shock.

My husbands permanent resident (green card) card came in the mail today!!!!!!!! :o

We recieved his work permit card along with the green card and a I 797 notice of action letter indicating that our application for permanent residence has been approved!

I can't believe this is really happening. We sent our AOS application February 18 (biometrics March 25) and thought we would have to wait at least half a year before it was approved. I never expected for this process to be complete within two months. When I opened the mail, I was expecting to see his advanced parole and work permit from USCIS. What a pleasant surprise! This is so amazing.

Sorry for the rant but I'm just so overwhelmed with excitement.

I hope everyone else has the luck we did! :)

Good luck everyone! (again). It seems that things are moving pretty quickly for many of us at the moment. Which is wonderful news.

We got notification that the greencard interview is now being scheduled (I am amazed how quickly)

Plus just now I checked my EAD case number and discovered:

New Card Is Being Produced On April 26, 2016, we ordered your new card and will mail it to the address you gave us.

Anyone know how long that usually takes? I wasn't expecting my EAD for another 3-4 weeks.
