I actually think i'm going to be sick. I finally arrived on Friday after my flight was delayed and just an all round mess. It's been great being with my fiance and i'm so happy. Today is the first time i am sitting down and gathering my thoughts and thinking of the next steps. That is when the horrible reality dawned on me. I just realized that in the frenzy of my move i packed all my documentation including my birth certificate into a box that i shipped over here!!! It will take about 8 weeks! How could i be so stupid and i don't have a copy of my birth certificate anywhere. I just can't believe it, i'm praying for some miracle that there's a compartment in my suitcase i forgot about. I can't do anything till i get it! :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

Do you have a copy anywhere from your previous applications?

Or an image of it on a computer or phone? or online? Or on email?

Or... I guess you could just send all your applications and then get an RFE and supply the document later?

I thought the chance to say this would never come but I just got an email this morning from the embassy saying that the required administrative processing is completed
His medical however expires in two weeks so the embassy says we need to send them a new one. If only they didn't take this long we wouldn't have to go through that expensive medical again. But I'm just happy to be out of the black hole that is administrative processing!

Biometrics appointment date received - anyone know if this means that they have adjudicated already? i.e. no RFE likely? or does Biometrics happen anyway - whether they have looked at our applications or not?

Finally applied for my SSN / SSC today. I wasn't showing up on the I-94 website after 15 days past P.O.E. After 3.5 hours of struggling to get to talk to anybody who had a clue, I finally reached a nice and helpful officer. It turns out the officer at Newark Intl. Airport upon my arrival put down 1913 as my birth year.... which is why I wasn't showing up in the records... It has been fixed and hopefully the SSC will arrive in the mail by mid February so we finally can apply for a marriage license :)

It's over 2 weeks for me an i'm still not showing up. Who did you phone to follow up with?

Do you have a copy anywhere from your previous applications?

Or an image of it on a computer or phone? or online? Or on email?

Or... I guess you could just send all your applications and then get an RFE and supply the document later?

Luckily i found it hidden in a "safe" place. Felt like i was losing my mind. Now i'm just waiting for my I-94 to be updated so i can apply for SSN. It's been over two weeks since POE so not sure what to do now.

You should definitely be calling around at this point - apparently the update on the I-94 site should be there immediately.

You need to contact the CBP (Custom and Border Patrol) at the airport where you arrived. You can find the phone number online. As for me, I arrived at Newark Intl. and they weren't picking up when I was calling them so I contacted Philadelphia Intl. airport instead and they were able to look up my information and change it. Have your passport / visa ready, arrival date and such.

Good luck!

Just called JFK about my I-94 and found that in my excitement about getting my visa i missed that they had printed the wrong date of birth. Anyway JFK managed to update my info for the I-94 but is this discrepancy going to cause problems going forward?

So the date of birth in your visa is wrong?

In my K-1 journey, they had spelled my husband's (petitioner) name wrong in both the NOA2 and the K-1 visa itself and that didn't cause any issues for me. At that point in time - before the interview - we contacted the U.S. Embassy in my country about the name being misspelled, they made note of it and we saved the email exchange with them just in case it will be needed later on. You could do the same.

I'm happy to hear they updated your I-94 info! Just wait a day for the website to fully update and head out to the SSA office :)
