Visa Interview hereby completed and we're approved!! :) They wanted the original of my translated divorce decree though (I only brought a copy of it) so I will have to send that off before they will issue the visa - no biggie, I have it at home. That was the ONLY original I didn't bring lol so typical.

Somebody in the Scandinavian-thread told me they had to sign something - did you?

- I wasn't handed anything to sign other than the envelope for my visa and documents for my POE so now I'must all worried lol. I'm NOT going all the way back to Sweden to sign a piece of paper.

Business sale not happenend yet :(

Have a potential buyer in tomorrow morning.... SO I hope they make an offer, otherwise I go without any finance behind me :cry:

I have booked my flights for 19 January.. A month behind plan... But at least I will be with my beau, :goofy::goofy::goofy:

My fiance just recieved his passport in the mail from the US consulate and it says his K1 visa expires in June 2016 but underneath that it says the Petition Expiration is January 16th 2016. We arent planning on going to the States until February. HELP! Does it matter if the petition expires because we got the visa? why would they put that on the visa? Do I need to extend it somehow?

The petition expiration date is on the visa? I don't even have it there, just the visa expiration date.

I asked about this during the interview just to be safe (I know some people had problems on the border), but the CO said that the petition expiration date is just a 'deadline' for them to interview you. Mine expires in December and I plan on moving there in April.

Your visa is only valid for 6 months from date of medical. You have to be on US soil before the visa expires or you will be denied entry.
