I an so lost in what to do as soon as I arrive, obviously getting married (will be in January), but whats up with the SSN card, do I have to wait till I'm married till I can get that? And the EAD is that thing that allowes u to work right? I always thought u had to pay 300 bucks for it with ur AOS and that it was optional. But now I am reading that u don't have to pay for it, if u file it at the same time. So confusing all this lol.

Here is your list. Compare what you have against what the Embassy there in London requires. http://london.usembassy.gov/iv/application_documents.html

You didn't mention any tax forms. Saudi embassy gave us 221|(g) for tax returns. In addition to the I-134, work letter and pay stubs they wanted copies of W2's and tax returns (1040) for the past two years, 2013 and 2014. Check with the London embassy to be sure.

Thanks for noticing - I had been wondering as I saw others using tax returns - but I am basing this on Nich-Nick's K1 London Guide which says:

"London will accept any proof on an I-134 that clearly shows income. Some ways besides a tax return/transcript are employer letter, pay stubs, pension letter, or banks statements showing direct deposits. Pick two. You don’t need to prove income five different ways. If you have a new job or earn more income since your tax return, then an employer letter and recent pay stubs are a better choice than a weak tax return."

My Fiance got me a wet signed letter from her boss stating yearly salary - and I have an original pay stub showing recent YTD earnings which is very strong.

Here's hoping that will do for London.

...and today I got a very short sensible haircut, shaved my beard off and had fresh 5cm x 5cm USA visa photos done at Sainsburys for £7.

Now I just have to get to London and BREATHE and turn up at the Embassy on time.
