Fiancee picked up her visa and packet, today. YES! It's official. The consulate rep called her to come in, as she would be out for the rest of the week; what a considerate and awesome thing to do. Looks like I'll be spending Christmas and New Year there since she can't travel here, until we're set for her to move. I'm good with that. Even though she was approved last week, we were still being cautious until she had her visa in hand. I'm so very happy right now. :)

Thank you everyone for wishing us good luck. Congratulations to all the approvals and hope it goes easily for everyone else as well.

The very best of luck :)

Ummm... what do guys wear????!

Thanks (Kevin)

Do you mean what do guys wear in Saudi Arabia or in general? Well he won't be wearing the traditional white man dress (thobe) hahaha. He'll be going semi casual. You can wear whatever you like. Always try to look your best because it can influence how they judge your character. Doesn't have to mean super formal ... just look nice and have confidence mainly :) And the interview is just an excuse for shopping of course :content:

I can't believe I just saw my fiancé this morning and now he's back in Saudi going to his interview in 2 hours. Feels so unreal. Hoping that's the last time we have to say good bye and we can be living together soon :luv:

Interview finished. He was out in about an hour. Was told they need tax transcripts for 2013 and 2014. I sent original W2s for these years and I thought that is the tax transcript. Basically, I'm a recent college graduate (grad school) who doesn't have a clue about taxes. And now I don't have them with me to read what's written on them, but I'm pretty sure it said tax return or summary or something like that. I guess I just sent the wrong thing. Other than that the interview went great and he was told told to send his passport by mail with the tax transcripts and the 221(g) form and they would issue the visa. Once I figure out what I need to send are copies fine? Instead of shipping them and that taking time .....

If you haven't already found it, here's a link for requesting your tax transcripts by mail - https://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript. I understand you might also be able to call and have them faxed, but I didn't see the number for that. I received them within 5 business days, then scanned and emailed them to my fiancee in .pdf format.

That's great, anfo1986! Has the embassy contacted you, yet? I'm not certain of your county's specifics, but they should be contacting you with instructions soon, if they haven't done so already. The instructions should include information regarding what documents they want you to gather, scheduling your medical and interview appointment, and some other things that may be specific to your country.

When does your I-129F expire? You should be able to contact the embassy to request an extension for your petition so that your appointment can be set for January. Again, this is without knowing how appointments are set for your embassy. But, if your petition is expiring soon, definitely contact them so they don't think it's being abandoned.
