If it doesn't show up, it looks like Marco will have to get a new passport, gather all the documents again, and return to the consulate to turn everything in so they can re-do the package. Hopefully that is not the case though! It's unbelievable the mail service has lost these documents :crying: . We have have plans and things booked for his arrival, Thanksgiving, our marriage, and a winter trip!

OK, my fiancee was supposed to have her interview yesterday, but computer issues at the Consulate resulted in rescheduling. Since their IT guy was away for training, they didn't have a new date for her, at the time. Well, this morning, they called and asked if she'd be available two hours later. After a bit of a wait (other visas typically handled on this day), she was called in. Her interview lasted around 15 minutes. So, pending a clean return on her fingerprint search, she's approved! We're limiting release of the news and holding off on planning, until all is official and her visa is in hand. Still...WOOT!!!! <knock wood>

Finally got packet 4 with interview date. After all this time waiting and they give us a 6 day notice!!! We booked non-refunfdable hotel and flight to in a 3rd country and the interview we find out today is right in the middle of our already short trip. How can they give so short notice?! I hope they can reschedule the interview :crying::ranting: . And of course the visa unit does not accept calls and they do not reply to emails at all quickly. I have no idea what to do.
